Seven Springs - Informácie o lyžiarskom stredisku
Seven Springs is a true four-season resort just an hour or so from Pittsburgh. Its well-developed lodging and amenities, ample terrain and big lift capacity draw visitors from even further away than Pittsburgh. Cleveland and Columbus Ohio are just three and four hours away respectively; Baltimore and Washington, DC, are four.
Terrain
Thirty slopes and trails, a 750 foot maximum vertical drop (continuous on three trails in the North Face area) are spread across 275 acres. Five triples, three quads, and a high-speed six-pack provide most of the uplift; five surface lifts serve primarily learner or beginner terrain. Nearly all the terrain is lighted at night.
Terrain parks, a superpipe, and several glades complement more traditional terrain. There's even a third terrain park just for little kids. And of course there's a big tubing operation.
A massive and thoroughly modern snowmaking system cranks out enormous amounts of snow each season, but this part of the state gets a lot of natural snow too. Thanks to this combination and a base elevation of 2240 feet Seven Springs usually skis and rides for a solid four months.
The Tahoe Lodge at the top of the detachable six-person chair provides panoramic views and a comfortable place to eat lunch. The main lodge at the base is part of a sprawling complex that includes several places to eat, a comfortable multi-story hotel, shops, services, and just about anything else you might need.
